The Human and Animal Institute focuses on developing people's ability to discern the needs and the value of others and to live with them in peace. The main goal of the Institute's activities is to change the prevailing public attitude towards animals: from a forceful, dismissive, or indifferent approach that involves controlling, exploiting, or destroying animals – to an empathetic, compassionate, and respectful interest, which includes accepting the presence of animals at our side, supporting them, and establishing relationships of partnership and reciprocity with them.
